The White Horse Hotel, Romsey, Hampshire
10/10 Excellent
"Another fabulous visit and wonderful stay. I would recommend a little light on the balcony table for late drinks. A few less spiders would have been better as well 😂. There was a table below very close to the balcony with people attending a wedding party including excited children. This did make the room less relaxing than hoped for. Apart from that the Abbey bells are lovely to wake up to, and the staff were very friendly as always."
"Grateful there was a member of staff in the office to check me in close to 2 am. No Days Inn spaces left so parked in main car park, only a little further away and well lit. After a long day I needed peace and quiet and got these from room 5 at the back of the building. All on one floor so no stairs to negotiate in my sleepy state. Glad I added an hour onto my check out time; leaving at midday and only £10 extra. Took the discounted offer of paying £7.50 for £10 worth of breakfast items at either McDs or Costa as the services prices are higher than a local McD and Costa. The friendly lady cleaner and man manager tried to help fix the stuck bath button, so had a refreshing shower instead. I would stay at Days Inn North again as the price is good too."
"We enjoyed a king bed room with a view of the back garden. The breakfast buffet is quite good (fresh, hot scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potato crisp) and french press coffee is served at your table. There is no dinner service. The bar offers bags of chips, and you can sit outside on the terrace or walk out to the river gazebo. The staff are very friendly and accommodating."
"We had a 3 night stay at The Stones Hotel Salisbury. The Receptionist Angelina (I think) weekend 13 - 15 July - was excellent
She had a sincere smile. She was professional and very helpful. It was extremely hot and she arranged for a fan to be provided. A very pleasany lady. The Executive Double room is roomy with a fabulous large bed with very comfortable quality cotton bedding. The bathroom is a nice size with a large walk in shower cubicle. The overhead rain shower is powerful and large with an alternative hand shower all very simple to use. We were visiting friends who insisted we eat with them so we cannot comment on the restaurant or the food but the menu is extensive. All in all a very nice place to stay and we will return in the future."
