Badger Cottage is located in a small development of modern town houses in a quiet location above the ever popular town of Ambleside. The cottage is ideal for walking on the fells or by the lakes, cycling, shopping or simply relaxing. A host of restaurants and bars are all within a short stroll of the cottage.
Badger Cottage has undergone a major transformation in recent times and now offers super accommodation, comfortable for guests yet friendly to the environment with the use of hi-spec insulation, double glazing and numerous energy saving devices wherever possible throughout.

Cottage very cosy and was well kitted out in the kitchen. Location is very convenient to central Ambleside. It says sleeps 5 but you may struggle with that . Front twin is very big and adequate but rear double bed is really a three quarter and not really big enough for two, hence they say use the single bed in the small box room. Parking in the garage for one car is fine, but if you have two then you are allowed to park outside that garage which really does not impede any other residents. however you will inevitably get a knock on the door from number 1 who seem to police the close and tell you to move the second car. I don't see why as the car park is big and cars can easily get out of garages. However they did offer a space just at the end of the close in another adjacent road which said residents only where we left one car all week. Only other negative is unloading and loading on the small access road outside the cottage which is on a slope. However all said I would still return as location is superb and cottage itself is fine. This was a lovely cottage very warm and comfortable. Cleaning was amazing and everything we needed was there. Well situated for walking to Ambleside and driving to local places. Lovely house in a quiet cul de sac just above ambleside. 5 minutes walk downhill into town and a few minutes to the waterfalls. Easy access to Wansfell. Very clean and well maintained property and comfortable in the evening to sit in the lounge. The only thing is that the garden is smaller so in fact it's not really a garden. A lovely cottage that had everything we needed. A brilliant location and just a few minutes from the main centre of Ambleside. The garage was quite small and we just about managed to get our car in it.
