"Really nice hotel, albeit a little expensive but is still a really nice place :)"

"Dee was friendly and welcoming. The hotel has seen better days, it is a fixer upper at the moment. Reception smelled damp and could do with pot plants and flowers to brighten it up and make it smell welcoming. The room was a good size but it just seemed grubby, the surface wiring did not set a good standard, the bathroom was dated with surface wiring and pipework - not a good image. The photos on Hotels.com were from the hotel's heyday and very misleading as was the description. No breakfast even though it was in the invoice. No restaurant any more. Near bus and train terminus, but trains are diesel electric so vey loud in the room. The mattress was nice but the bases creaked. The smoking spot was right outside our room window so we had to keep the curtains closed. The hotel looks grand and imposing from the outside but it is very tired on the inside. Hotels.com need to get upddated descriptions or take it off."

"Warm and happy stay as a family, wifi offline which was an issue for the children as they couldnt stream more so for my autistic grandson. All in all a pleasant break, lots of add ons which we did not purchase, spa, hot tub, etc."
