"The King's Little Pathway" spans the El Chorro gorge at a height of 100m. It was built in the early 1900s as an access path between nearby hydroelectric plants. The bridge got it's name in 1921 when King Alfonso XIII crossed it to help inaugurate a new dam.

The path rises to the bridge from either side of the gorge, snaking dramatically along the sheer cliff face. In recent years the path has been closed to all but rock-climbers, as many portions of the pathway had crumbled away.

However, the Spanish government recently completed a three-year restoration of the pathway, including guardrails, and it just opened yesterday - March 28, 2015! The 6€ entrance fee will be waived for the first six months, but you'll need to make reservations in advance: http://bit.ly/1BzhH8Y. Also, bear in mind that the path is one-way, so check the return bus schedule, or book a return crossing as well!

"Great place to stay few minutes walking from Malaga center. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff from lobby were nice and always willing to help us. Breakfast was included, clean buffet with self service. Definitely a great option to stay with family. "

"After my girlfriend could not come on the vacation due to appendicitis, I decided to travel to Alora solo. The region is just stunning and David and Wendy were extremely accommodating and made me feel right at home . I have never woken up to such a stunning view. "We stayed her for 10 night with three children age 6 8 11 and what a fabulous time we had the photos don’t do it justice it’s stunning and overlook s the mountains , lovely peaceful area about 40 minutes to the beaches ,cable cars ,Selwo marine , . The owner is lovely and very welcoming the villa is spotless and as for the pool it’s just amazing the children were in it every day till late evening , I would highly recommend this villa and can’t thank the owner enough for the use of her lovely...
