‘Yalis is the ancestral home of the ‘Namgis First Nation, a tribe of the Kwakwaka̱'wakw. We invite you to immerse yourself in the rich Indigenous culture, art, and history that make our village so special. Visiting the U'mista Cultural Centre or seeing the intricate totem poles are experiences not to be missed.

Getting to our unique island community is part of the adventure! A scenic 40-minute ferry ride from Port McNeill on Vancouver Island will bring you to our shores.
