"In addition to the many comments I could make regarding the property, the room, the facilities (all excellent for the avoidance of doubt), where the Cedar Wood Lodge rises above other similar B&Bs is in the genuine warmth and welcoming of the owners. Felt like visiting old close friends……and I would guess if you wanted your own space and time to yourselves you would find the place equally charming and welcoming. A final word on the breakfast……all home baked goodies, home made jams which would put high end catering facilities to shame. If we had known we would have stayed longer and used as a base for the surrounding area. Can not recommend highly enough."

"We had an excellent stay! The home and property were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The lake and mountain views were stunning! The amenities such as the hot tub and paddle boards, kayaks etc. were great! Would definitely recommend and would stay again when visiting Port Alberni!"

While the decor and furnishings in the room were quite dated and could use a modern refresh, everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained.
