About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Highland Square house dedicated to the history of Akron.

Located on the same street where Doctor Bob's house and museum is (one of the founders of AA) minutes from music and dining and a cool coffee shop to start your morning right (even though you are more than welcome to make coffee at the house.) Seeing a show at Blossom? less than 18 minutes (though add an hour just to park) and don't forget about porchrokr and the Lock 3 concerts.

Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy

All was great UNTILL we ARRIVED

Booked early, Host was very good with communication. Hit snowstorm on the way causing us to arrive (late after dark). Host was very specific this is a "SHARRED driveway you MUST stay to the right next to the house". Dark driveway covered in down wet leaves. Next thing I know my truck falls into an UNMARKED fire pit. Had to call tow company to be winched out. ONLY went in house to use the bathroom when my friend slipped and fell on wet leaves that were covering the wooden walkway. At this point I reached out to owner/host. Informed him of the issues we have had. Told him we would not be staying... at this point he was reasonable offered to at least pay my tow bill and/or refund a night's stay. We than checked in to a local hotel. It has now been 5 months of cat and mouse with the host VRBO has been NO help. I am out the moneys for the rental we did not use as well as the tow fee to get my truck out of the unmarked fire pit in the driveway. Just wanted to warn others.... BEST OF LUCK!
