Learn to cook Moroccan style at L'Atelier Madada cookery school, attached to an Essaouira restaurant. You'll learn to make Moroccan mint tea and cook two courses – first person to book gets to choose the menu but it might be a tagine, couscous or pastilla – then get to eat it all.

Classes run from 10.30am–3pm and cost 500 MAD.

"Really enjoyed staying in this beautiful riad right in the center of the Medina! The Front Desk staff was very professional and helpful in accomodating all our needs. Enjoyed roof top breakfast every day with a nice ocean breeze and view of the water. We'll definitely stay there again!"

"We didn’t enjoy parts of our stay. There were no rugs for the cold floors or hand towels in the bathroom. The staff didn’t seem to enjoy our being there which made us feel uncomfortable at times. It was okay as a place to stay, not great. The first riad we weren’t offered tea upon our arrival too. "
