Bright waterfront apartment with breathtaking views. From the spacious balcony that runs almost all around the apartment, guests enjoy the wide blue sea as well as Mount Etna, and its shows of lava and smoke.

The apartment is located on the third and last floor (without elevator) of a building right on the promenade of the quiet village of Stazzo. Halfway between Catania and Taormina, Casa Nettuno is ideal for families and friends who want to explore the East side of Sicily and come back to a quiet home where to continue enjoying the natural beauty that this island has to offer.

Restaurants and little shops are all within walking distance. From the lava rocks just below the house you can plunge directly into the sea. In summer (July and August) wooden stairs are built on the lava rocks in order to facilitate the access to the water.

The apartment has 2 comfortable double bedrooms and a spacious living area, all with access to the panoramic balcony. There is also a bathroom with shower and a well-equipped kitchen. The balcony is furnished with lounge chairs, umbrella and a table where to enjoy a scenic breakfasts.

For the fish lovers, 1 km away is another village, called Pozzillo, with a small, authentic harbour where fishermen still daily pull up their colourful boats onto the black lava beach. In its square there is a small woodshed where you can buy fresh fish early in the morning.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Nettuno. The casa matches the photos and the views from the balcony are stunning. We were a couple staying at the location, but the casa is large and would nicely accommodate a family or two couples. We had dinner in the small square, but also cooked for ourselves with food we purchases at a small local market. There is a nice gelato and pastry shop in the square as well. We had a car and went on day trips to Siracusa, Toarmina and Etna. But just lounging at the the casa and listening to the waves crash on the rocks was top notch relaxation. The hosts greeted us promptly and were available for travel suggestions and general advice. We were able to park on the street fairly easily, on weekends there were more locals and parking was a little more difficult. You will need to bring your own bath amenities and it is a fourth floor walk up. We loved our days here.

We had an amazing stay at the apartment - it was a rare find that it is even better in real life than the photo's online! The apartment itself is beautiful and full of character and charm, beautiful terrazzo floors and cool furniture. Everything works well and is very clean. The real star though is the rap around terrace with incredible uninterrupted views of the sea at the front and Etna at the back. Its the highest apartment so not overlooked and very private. We loved sitting out at night sipping drinks and playing cards and watching the sun go down behind Etna. Stazzo is a great base for seeing the east coast with a toll road (very cheap) that takes you up to Taormina in about half an hour. If you chose to stay in Stazzo there's amazing places to swim right opposite the apartment from one of the pontoons or just off the rocks into the warm sea. There's great restaurants in walking distance and everything is very reasonably priced. We'll definitely come back and explore more!

The hosts were very responsive and very helpful. We were first greeted by the keyholders and they were lovely. They gave us clear instructions, tips and checked in on us during our stay. The apartment was clean and spacious. The bathroom and kitchen were in good working order, we didn't have any issues with water or plumbing. The AC worked very well. Stunning views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. If you don't rent a car, I highly recommend you have a local driver to get you around. To get to Taormina from this apartment, it took approximately 45 minutes maybe close to an hour, depending on traffic. One warning, there is no elevator, only several flights of stairs to get to the apartment. So if you have small children or mobility issues, this might not be for you. I really enjoyed staying at this apartment and would definitely come back.

Prachtig appartement. Het terras maakt het fantastisch, waar je de zee en de Etna kunt zien. Centraal gelegen tussen Cantania, de Etna en Taormina. De eigenaren stonden bij aankomst ons op te wachten. Ze zijn zeer aardig en hulpvaardig. Er is overigens ook een Lavazza espresso (soort van nespresso) apparaat in het appartement aanwezig, waar je heerlijke koffie mee kunt zetten.

Cadre enchanteur, terrasse avec vue magnifique. Maria et Franco nous ont accueillis et ont pris le temps de nous donner une foule d’informations pertinentes. Le logement était très propre à notre arrivée. Nous aurions aimé que la cuisine soit mieux équipée pour la préparation des repas. Les matelas étaient trop durs à notre goût. Très beau séjour!!!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour! L’appartement est très bien meublé et très aéré. La terrasse panoramique permet d’admirer la mer ainsi que l’Etna. Il manquerait quelques outils de cuisine pour faire de cet endroit une perfection mais nous nous sommes bien débrouillés. L’immeuble est très propre et bien situé. Piazzo est un endroit idéal pour explorer les alentours quand on a une voiture. Les hôtes sont vraiment très gentils et on sent une réelle authenticité avec cet appartement.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Maria und Franco haben uns herzlich empfangen und waren außerordentlich nett und hilfsbereit. Das Highlight der großzügig geschnittenen Wohnung ist der atemberaubende, nicht einsehbare Balkon mit Panorama-Meerblick und Ätnablick. Man möchte die Wohnung gar nicht verlassen, so herrlich ist die Lage und die Aussicht! Es waren sogar vier Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme vorhanden. Nur die Küchenutensilien sind etwas knapp bemessen und abgezählt, was aber nur ins Gewicht fällt wenn man aufwändiger kochen möchte. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet ohne überladen zu wirken. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Nous avons été ravis de ce séjour. La maison et son jardin sont vraiment magnifiques! Le lieu est très agréable, idéal lorsque l’on vient avec des enfants. Très bonne qualité de nos échanges avec nos hôtes avant notre arrivée (notamment envoi d'un document contenant des informations très utiles pour notre séjour) et à la remise des clés (accueil souriant). De plus, ils avaient prévu des petites spécialités à notre attention, délicieuses... Appartement propre, calme, très spacieux avec un balcon filant suffisamment large pour y déjeuner, avec une vue extraordinaire, pratiquement à 360° : sur mer et sur l'Etna. Bercés par les vagues. Quel ravissement ! Facilités de parking. Il est très facile de se garer gratuitement dans la rue en bas de l'immeuble. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir. Encore merci à nos hôtes chaleureux.

Wohnung sehr sauber, starker Geruch von Desinfektionsmitteln, Vermieter freundlich, Matratzen schlecht, kein Spülbecken in der Küche, sondern reduziert im Nebenraum, 3. Stock, wenig Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Stazzo, immer Auto erforderlich, lange Fahrzeiten durch sehr schlechte Straßen und enorm viel Verkehr. Kaum Spaziergänge o.ä. vor Ort möglich....

We had an amazing stay! The views are gorgeous and the house is spacious. The location is great to explore the Etna, the beach and the wineries. Only thing is that the kitchen utensils are a bit outdated/scarce. Nevertheless we had a great time in Stazzo - Maria was super friendly and helpful, also the people of Stazzo are very kind. Would love to come again!

We had two great weeks in this fantastic apartment! The views over Etna and the sea was amazing! It was plenty of room for a family to hang out and there was always a place in the shade outside during the day. We spent most of the time at the cliffs close to the apartment, perfect for the whole day or just a short swim. The hosts Maria and Franco were most helpful whenever we had questions or needed help! We would love to come back!
