Only issue was that I misread that the pool was not onsite and was only accessed via a local shared pool in another area of the town. "Luxurious room! We splurged for the nicer room and wow! Wonderful staff, good beer selection. We needed to leave early the next morning so the chef packed us a picnic breakfast with lots of fruit, a blt sandwich, crackers and jams and cookies. Ate it on a hill overlooking a field of sheep and the town below. So memorable!"

"The weather was exceptionally hot during our stay, the staff had closed the curtains on our room and had a fan running to try to keep the bedroom cool. All of the staff, without exception, were helpful, professional and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa facilities. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, curry was exceptionally good, only downside was that some items on the breakfast buffet were only lukewarm, not helped by only cold plates being available. "Really nice b&b in an historic and interesting house. Host was really friendly and breakfasts were really good. Large bedroom, plenty of space for clothes. Right opposite the Abbey and near local amenities. Would certainly return."

"Great stay in a lovely hotel. The owner was charming, friendly and fun and gave an excellent display of first class customer service. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We left too early for breakfast so they made up packed breakfasts for us too. Some of the alcoholic drinks in the mini bar are free too!
