"Hotel Don Abbondio is 30 minutes walk from Lecco train station and the main tourist area of the town. It's in a quiet area with, mainly, local people. There is a large supermarket about 7 minutes walk away from the hotel. 3 minutes walk to the main road leads to a bus stop (2 Euros per person takes you to a bus stop at the back of the train station) and a takeaway food outlet. There's a restaurant next to the hotel. We didn't hire a car, so I can't comment about parking, but I think that parking isn't a problem near the hotel. The service from reception was excellent, the buffet breakfast was fine, and the room cleaning was good, every day :) Overall, at this price point, as long as you're happy to be away from the town center, this is a very good deal :)"

"The staff was unbelievable. So sweet and helpful. We were supposed to stay one night and extended a second. There is a super cute area that is walking distance. The hotel is quiet and beautiful. The restaurants and views are amazing. Renting a boat around the area is also super easy. 10/10! Oh and they are kid and dog friendly. The only thing is I wish the pool was better positioned but whatever. "

"This is an older property with an incredible view of Lake Como. The front desk staff were exceptional and super helpful. The room could use a little TLC but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The balcony had the best view of the lake. We spent most of our time on that balcony. There is a delicious pizza place next door. Gated parking for a fee but it was worth it and super convenient. I would definitely stay here again. "
