"Staff was great in communication and even met me at the property to check in and show me around. Amenities were good. Tub/shower is charming, but deep. Grab bar could be helpful, especially for older guests. Convenient location. Would recommend."

"Stayed in this apartment hotel for 2 nights in Apr23. We spoilt the hair dryer before we checked out, but could not inform the office as we checked out very early in the morning and the office was closed. The next day, I received an email informing us that they charged CHF500 to my credit card for spoiling the hair dryer and the TV. This is ridiculous. Their email mentioned that they gave us a perfectly working TV before we checked in. How can they accuse us for spoiling the TV a few minutes...

"We have been visiting Menaggio on a pretty regular basis since 1992 and have never had a bad experience. The Mira Al Lago was no exception. The place is marvelous. It is quiet, pleasant, clean, and offers a wonderful and relaxing view of Lago di Como from the house or from the perfectly placed patio. "Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. There's a small supermarket that we didn't actually have to use, as we shopped out and about in the bigger towns. There is somewhere to get a coffee in the morning if you...
