"Hotel Academie as the name suggests was indeed an academy in the 14th century. The hotel has been remodeled Beautifully to keep the spiral staircase and the landings with a few steps to each room. Each floor must have 4 rooms. They are very rustic and finished with a grandeur look to it. We had booked a suite and each room had its own bath and toilet; amenities included 2 TVs , an armoire in the 2nd bedroom and desks for each bedroom. The furnishings and bed linens looked inviting for a comfortable good night’s sleep. It’s a hidden gem."

"The room was very spacious and had excellent air conditioning. The shower was appropriate sized (vs those tiny tube sized showers in most of Europe). We did not hear others around us and slept well. We took advantage of the valet parking and truly appreciated that. We were able to easily walk and venture into Lyon from the location and felt very safe in our surroundings. The pillows were incredibly flat so I recommend asking for more. Easy fix"

"Very good location when arriving by train. Bit far from old town, but public trasportation works well. Rooms bit dated, but comfortable bed and airconditioning worked well on a hot day. "
