"We had booked two overnight stays at the start and end of a cruise. While on bith occasions we arrived at the hotel well ahead of normal check-in time, we only had to wait a short time until our room was available. This was very good as it was tiring after a long journey. The hotel is convenient for cruising from Southampton as it is only a short distance to the ferry terminal, but the hotel provided a complimentary transfer on the embarkation day. "Great place to stay for a cruise the next day. Beds were comfortable, breakfast amazing and nicely located to walk to pubs and restaurants. Great view of the wall ruins from our room. Downside was no elevator and a bit confusing as to where the front desk was to check in. Turns out it is right when you walk in the restaurant. A bit tired so doesn’t look as clean and had to navigate around linens in the hall to check out. But all in all a good stay."

"Stayed for one night. Had an evening meal and breakfast the following morning. The food was excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet choices were amazing. We stay here every year on our way to Portugal. Just love the place. We took our two dogs with us. The staff are very friendly and really helpful."
