"Barceló was a very beautiful clean hotel. Rooms are spacious and a nice place to relax and explore Madrid as it is located next to via grand which basically connects to all the museums and palaces and shopping. Rooms have A/C breakfast was good and nice aromas in lobbies and hallways. Very little channels on the tv a few channels in English but I would highly recommend staying here. "

"Great location, lovely and helpful staff. Roof top bar was a delight, and the pool area was functional rather than luxurious, but a welcome addition nonetheless. The steamer for clothes in the room was a genius touch - no clunky iron board and iron. No hairdryer or full length mirror in the room though. Breakfast was a lottery - would the hot food be hot today, or just tepid? Otherwise, a good buffet. Loved all the music references in the public spaces. "

The slight inconvenience of walking to the taxi stop from the hotel’s entrance did not interfere with the overall experience, which included the best of hotel mattresses and elegant quiet rooms with extraordinary cuisine located on site. I highly recommend this property. "

"Initially we were in a standard room and it wasn’t even closed to a five stars hotel. Walls were dirty, curtains were ripped apart. We asked to be upgraded, and of course for a significant cost, the new room was outstanding! A completely different experience. Service was great all the time but definitely I would recommend the upgrade level. "
