"Sunday lunch was great. Room v tired furnishings, windows were v old , dirty, draughty, need replacing."

"Lots to like about the hotel. Staff are lovely, the pool was fabulous to use after a long day sightseeing, the room was small but comfortable and the bathroom had lovely products. We enjoyed the complimentary drink on our first night and the most delicious meal in Baba, which I would highly recommend! The negative was the noise from our room. We were in the modern bit, next to the Wetherspoon pub and both Fri and Saturday night until after 1am was very loud with lots of drunk people. It was...

"A fabulous stay. It’s a gorgeous, luxurious hotel with good staff, great breakfast and a lovely bar. Big spacious rooms, lovely extras for my son. Absolutely worth the extra money compared to others around."

"Fantastic stay in truly beautiful surroundings, my bedroom was stunning but it was also very warm…tried fiddling with the heater and even a staff member did also but we couldn’t really work it out as the heater never really cooled down which was a shame. Other than that the stay was great but the it was just a shame regarding the heat."

"Well maintained and beautiful property. Very comfortable and convenient location. They made all of us feel home, even the little kid"

"Most overpriced hotel I’ve ever stayed at. No valet parking, tired rooms. Feels more like a 4 star hotel at best yet over £1000 a night."

"This was our third or fourth time there, and will probably be back next year, it’s ideal, lovely staff, good food,, well situated, 5 star,"

"Beautiful place Exceeded our expectations!"

"Map describing the area of location would be great on check in as would the explantion of ways to connect with a concierge person for questions about Edinburgh code for entering bldg as well as apartment was genious! stay was delightful as was proximity to Haymarket trainn station!"

"Staff were attentive and incredibly friendly! The food was amazing and the property very well maintained and so beautiful!"

"In my opinion, it's not a 5-star hotel. I was given a tiny room that was supposed to accommodate two passengers, with the only window facing a car; it was on the first floor, facing the parking Lot. They moved us to a second-floor room, which was not great either, after I requested to speak to the manager, not the other way around. The welcome card listed another name, and the toiletries were not enough for two. The linnen room on the second floor was always open, showing all the toilet paper,...

"The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant. Cleanliness not what we would have expected either - some litter...
