"I really enjoyed my stay at The Gainsborough. You honestly couldn't ask for a better location. It's just a block from the square and an easy 10 min walk from Bath Spa train station, so getting around the city was effortless. "Great base place to explore Bath, specially if you rented a car which you can park inside the hotel premises.
Bedroom was spacious and well appointed.
We had breakfast once and it was nice quality, but since they were closing felt rushed with no purpose.
Based on room rates to charge for parking felt unnecessary and probably won't move the hotel top line needle.

"There was no convenient way to use the hair dryer with a mirror making it problematic. Had to move heavy side table to use plug. The highboy doors didnt close properly and swung open on their own (needs to be fixed). The parking was interesting getting up the steep hill, but we managed."

"I loved our one night here. It was a stop off on the way further south but I wish we could have stayed longer. So peaceful. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay happen, even when we arrived late. We ate our breakfast outside in the courtyard which was idyllic. The food was gorgeous.
