"Absolutely impeccable from the moment you walk in the door. The staff are amazing and the hotel is beyond 4 stars. Traveled the world and my wife and I both were very impressed with our stay here. We stayed for 4 nights and I wished it were longer. Food was also amazing. Other hotels could take note the shear professionalism of the staff. "Hilton is at an excellent location. Right across the main station. It is also 200 m from the airport limousine bus stop so very easy to navigate. They have 4 to 5 in house restaurant and bars. "

"Wow, just wow. I was traveling solo and enjoyed two nights at the Roku. I could write a novel about the joys and pleasures of my stay. From the service, to the spa, to the incredible property— true perfection. Would rate 10 stars if I could. The staff saw I was alone at dinner and brought over some books and reading material. "Awesome place for the price, large clean quiet, very close to transportation and night life but far enough that its quiet. Theres a washer/dryer in the room we booked. No free amenities though like free toothbrush etc, no front desk usually but we got there around 3 which is check in time so i assume they will have someone there around that time to direct you what to do. They have self storage if you need to leave luggage early or late from check out. Definitely perfect for families, dining...

"There is no better place to stay in Kyoto. The location is SUPERB. The hotel is the most magical place. If all of that was not enough, Yuriko at the the concierge desk provides the most exceptional level of service I have ever encountered. Stay there just for the concierge services. "Staff and service great! A little overpriced for the rooms and unless you can book the special rooms the pictures can be deceiving! We were definitely not wowed by our room! Onsens were okay but nothing to brag about! And you have to pay extra to use the onsens … dinner at restaurants was great quality but overpriced! The reviews all show it to be very luxurious but it’s just a normal hotel….staff was very helpful and accommodating but the area is quite boring! "

Con: complicated check in process, property owner only provided room access code but not building access code. Building access code is provided via a phone call upon arrival; however, as a foreigner you don't have a phone, and there was no public phone around."
