"Hotel Le Negresco is without a doubt the most beautiful hotel in Nice. We stayed for 4 nights and the location, service and style is 5 stars. I have one complaint regarding the hotel bathroom. Our room had a very large bathroom with a beautiful claw foot tub - but no shower. The tub had a hand held nozzle with no place to rest it while showering (if you put it on the cradle water will spray onto the floor) and the shower curtain only closed 75%. "Pros: beautiful modern lobby; easily accessible and comfortable room; great location, probably the best in Cannes; helpful valet and bell service. Cons: no turn-down service despite the claim of being a 5 star property; very cheap on things like coffee capsules, soap, shower caps etc.; the restaurant (Scalina) was disappointing--it was our worst dinner in Cannes."

"Very nice hotel, great location. Pool is lovely with a great view. Continental breakfast at 48 euro a head is steep and then charged a further 16 for two top ups on coffee left me feeling the service was a little impersonal and commercial. There was a ticketed event on for the public both evenings - dancing - right in the middle of the hotel courtyard, with speakers etc wrapped in black plastic bags during the day. Took away from the ‘oasis’ within the city vibe it’s supposed to provide. Overall...
