"We were impressed straight away with how picturesque the hotel and area was, plus everywhere seemed so peaceful. This was then further enhanced thanks to the fabulous staff. The staff made us feel very welcome and they were really enthusiastic about making our experience a positive one. Ted, in the Moet and Chandon Bar, along with his Manageress, were stand out staff for us. Ted loved to make us cocktails and we certainly enjoyed drinking them! The room was comfortable and very clean, the spa facilities were ideal and the restaurant food was excellent. Definitely a hotel that we would like to return to. "

"We had a two-night stay. I thought the half-board option was very good value, and the food was well cooked and presented. But the stand out feature was how well the staff have been trained. They really made the trip - polite and engaged and followed up on everything really quickly. I was very impressed with them."

"Flawless. We loved our stay at The Ship Inn and I strongly recommend it for any stay in Rye. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of town. The pub is beautiful and historic and the room itself modern and faultlessly clean. Some little details I really appreciated: tea and coffee and kettle in the room (with oat milk sachets!), a deep bath, tv, desk fan and a very comfy, spacious bed. 10/10"
