"Great access to the buses. The hotel room was nice and clean. I experienced faulty swipe cards but that was fixed promptly and the staff were very helpful. The only downside was the area felt a bit rough for a solo woman traveler."
"The history and outside appearance of the inn was impressive, unfortunatley the rooms definately did not have the wow factor for me. The Oundle suite bathroom was very tired in terms of furniture and building. The shower looked filthy and I didnt want to use it. It wouldnt take much to improve by cleaning the grout and re plastering. We paid £612 for a 3 night stay but the standard of the rooms do not reflect this price. "Our room looked out to the cathedral. It was spacious, a great bathroom with shower, and a copper bath in the bedroom. Staff here are outstanding, and Ely itself is compact, picturesque and very interesting indeed.

"Only one member of staff who was pleasant. More of a DIY place. Once grand but terribly run down. We had attic room and stairs very steep. Most odd room with ancient furniture and fittings. Linen and bathroom clean and hot water fine, but not a room I’d recommend!!

"Hotel and staff were excellent, as was the food both breakfast and dinner (the onion rings are delicious). Parking is a bit of a faff, short stay overnight and long stay after 08:30, but that's the council not the hotel."
