"Hotel is out dated, with visible dirty carpets in the lobby that show they have not been cleaned for years. Not recommended for people with allergies as the hotel was really stuffy from the dusty carpets. In the restaurant, there was always no staff to serve and take orders at breakfast. We had to go look for the waiter from reception which was also always unattended. Their English Breakfast the bacon was always dry, their mushrooms tasted like they been cooked using used oil. The family room...

"Arrived earlier than expected, helpful lady on reception allowed us to check in early. Conveniently placed to walk into the city with easy motorway access when it is time to go. Have stayed a few times now and never disappointed"

"Super convenient location and well done out from recent refurb. Exterior of the building needs some attention especially the windows where they let so much wind in and makes a noise. This didn’t effect our nights sleep."

"Very nice hotel and lovely breakfast too. We were with a toddler so cautious about the noise as there were many reviews about high noise level. When we close the windows, it didn’t bother us. It’s so close to many good restaurants and attractions. So we loved it."

"Everything about our stay here was great. The staff were very helpful and caring. The room itself was outstanding - even had a view of York Minster. There was a tea service in the room including cookies and chocolates.The breakfast was the typical English breakfast which is a lot of food and it was all delicious. I would gladly stay here again."
