"The hotel is suitable for a short city stay and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. They happily refilled the water and coffee in our room daily when asked. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was regularly replenished. One large negative is the location. The surrounding streets are dodgy but the hotel is immediately above the metro station and the hop-on-hop-off bus stop. Despite being walkable from Monastiraki Sq and other prime tourist locations, I would highly recommend using...

"The Astor is an 8 minute walk with a 23kg bag from the blue train line at Syntagma station to the front reception desk. It has a fabulous view of the Acropolis at the breakfast area. There are two convenience stores within 100 metres of the front reception desk. There are numerous bakeries and coffees shops aswell very nearby. Breakfast is very decent. I would rate the hotel value for money and very well positioned for a few days in this ancient capital. "
