"This hotel is an amazing location, just 2-3 minute walk out the door to the cathedral (which is amazing) and similar to the castle.
Lovely room (we had a fabulous view of the cathedral) , plenty of room, lovely bathroom and toiletries. Quiet too once the bells stopped at 10!
Friendly and welcoming staff, and a good meal in the Antlers restaurant.
A big downside for me was the mattress which was really uncomfortable, I could feel the springs digging into my hips so didn’t sleep well. I’d still...
"Hotel room was nice and clean, spacious enough for the 2 of us, everything was in working order and tea/coffee stocked up. Only down size was the bed, it was nice and big however, made a noise every time you moved and was quite soft compared to what I’m used to but I guess that’s down to preference."
"Friendly staff, good pub attached with good food. Breakfast was tasty but did take a while to arrive (30mins). Room was clean, but tired and in need of some repairs (bathroom doorframe and main light fittings). Good place for an overnight stop."
"Quirky Hotel , little bit dated now but overall nice and clean. Very noisy outside our room during our stay & screaming down the hall way during the middle of the night by some drunken wedding guests, obviously not the hotel’s fault but"
"First impressions of the hotel were excellent and overall it is a lovely place with generally attentive staff.
All was going well and the receptionist said that we were lucky as our room was air conditioned, while others were not.
We had been allocated room 6 and on opening the door there was an interesting staircase which split in two at a small landing with one set of stairs going to the bedroom, with the other leading to the shower room. Getting between the rooms you have to be very...
"Needs a good update. A bit of a throwback to the 70s! Room clean.but in a poor state of repair.
Not impressed that you have to pay £7 a day for parking in the hotel car park which adds to tbe overall cost!"
"Location was OK, quiet parking provided. Unfortunately electronic entrance keypad system faulty. Late check in from 4pm, took till nearly 5pm to get in after calling out engineer. Really stressfull experience. System was still clunky took 4 attempts to get back into accommodation later on in the evening."
"The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed and had modern facilities. The hotel was in a good location for visiting sites in the area. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also excellent."
"From start to finish it was a delightful stay, it had a lot of charm and we loved the chickens and goats the breakfast was great with all that you needed and more, the host was lovely and we enjoyed our stay, l will recommend this place to everyone at your club and we will return in the future.
Thanks Nigel & Kim"
"Our stay was very good. It was in the middle of the steep hill. So, was a minute walk from Lincoln castle. Around the hotel was lovely boutique shops and cafes. The a
Hotel had a coffee shop that served lovely food. We would definitely return to Rest hotel. 😍"
