"Half the floor our room was located on had a constant loud rumble caused by the rails below resonating with the building. This is NOT normal train noises and is constant from 5am to 1am. "The location was great! Stores and restaurants right outside your door in the covered outdoor mall area and walkable to major stores and the Gion area. The hotel itself was adequate but pretty basic. Lobby is tiny. The area is pedestrian only from 10:00 am - midnight so if you need to take a taxi during this time, you’ll need to walk a couple blocks to the hotel. "
