"The Hotel is quaint and very historical. The staff were excellent . The parking was very difficult to find and the Sat Nav directions on the booking do not tell the full story and direct you to the front of the hotel with no parking!
The carpets up to the rooms are in dire need of a very good clean or even better a replacement. The windows are single glazed (probably as it's a lsited building) and this at the back is a real problem with a VERY noisy nightclub. I was told by staff that another...
"Staff member on reception helpful and welcoming.
I enjoyed a lovely meal in restaurant and all staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall had lovely stay would definitely book this hotel again."
"We booked a double room but were not told it was a disability access room. We were right next to the entry access door which banged open shut all night with other guests so hardly slept. Also the sink was small & far too low to use easily. The room decor & furniture was very low quality for such a beautiful building & the complementary tea etc & shampoo was very basic. This was not a cheap hotel & we were hoping for a beautiful room like the pictures but instead were left very disappointed."
"First impressions of the hotel were excellent and overall it is a lovely place with generally attentive staff.
All was going well and the receptionist said that we were lucky as our room was air conditioned, while others were not.
We had been allocated room 6 and on opening the door there was an interesting staircase which split in two at a small landing with one set of stairs going to the bedroom, with the other leading to the shower room. Getting between the rooms you have to be very...
"Great property & location. Car parking easy & free at a local car park. Bedroom spotless & bed very comfortable. Linen felt good quality. Breakfast was tasty. Staff helpful & cheerful. Well done!"
"The lady who runs the hotel is great and can't be more helpfull. I stayed in a single room which was compact but enough for one person and it had a 3/4 bed which was nice.
For a clean, comfortable ensuite room within walking distance on the town the hotel is amazing value.
Breakfast was extra but well worth the additional £8"
"Very clean with welcoming staff. Breakfast had an excellent choice and cooked meal was outstanding. We also had an evening. Meal with friends and this was also excellent with a good choice of food. Our room had everything one could need."
"Room was lovely with nice touches, sweet treat, water and fresh milk. The bed was really comfortable and the outside sitting area was perfect. Breakfast was excellent and we would return if in the area. Thank you Lee!"
"A lovely guest house with friendly and welcoming hosts. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed and more. It was a quiet road which helped get a good nights sleep . Plenty of parking available just outside. The breakfast was excellent too. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it!"
"Nothing to say really , lovely place , well kept, for lovely , Nothing to much trouble , peaceful lovely gardens very tranquil , I definitely stay again,"
"My family and I spent the weekend at the 33 lodge located inside the Southview Holiday Park. It was a beautiful place and we all loved it so much. It felt like a home away from home. We also had a beautiful hot tub and enjoyed every bit of it.
I highly reccomend this lodge for a nice family break. It has all the essentials needed in a home, it is very clean and very well taken care of. As a plus, there's so much to do around there for both adults and kids 👌💯"
