"Great hotel right at Lake Biwa. The included dinner and breakfast were amazing even for Japan standards (but the restaurant staff doesnt speak any English so have google translate ready... they were still friendly and did their best to understand). Its also quite far away from the station so be sure to use the free shuttle. We had the traditional room with tatami and futons which was neat, spacious and had a great view of the lake."

"Very nice view of the lake. Very helpful staff. The rooms have a private onsen hot tub on the balcony. The rooms have tatami and are set up to sleep on the floor. You can request a bed frame to elevate the futon, but it's better to request a bed when making the reservation (although you may enjoy sleeping on a futon, Japanese style)."

"This hotel is amazing. Beautiful rooms with a fabulous view of Yoro and the valley. The food is some of the best I have had in Japan. The service also incredible. A five minute walk to gorgeous waterfalls and forest temple. And right on the trail to the Mt. Yoro hike. Spectacular. We cannot wait to come back. "
