"This was our first time staying here and unfortunately it will also be our last. My wife and I were only in town for one night because the place we usually stay had no availability that weekend. To start with the positives, the location for our purposes was ideal. It’s close to the mall and near Raymond James Stadium, which made getting around very convenient. Unfortunately the room had several issues. The AC barely worked and the room stayed hot most of the stay, especially before sundown. The bigger problem though was the sewer smell. Both the hallway and the room had a very strong sewer odor that made it hard to stay inside. We actually went to the mall and bought concentrated room spray from Bath & Body Works just to make the room bearable. Parking is also a nightmare. The spaces are extremely tight and if you leave in the evening, forget trying to find a spot after about 8 pm. There was also no coffee maker in the room, which was surprising for a Hilton property. The bed and bedding were comfortable, but even service was disappointing. We asked housekeeping for an extra towel for an early morning shower and were told they could not assist."

"It was a very nice experience. I was greeted in the lobby with champagne. The room was spectacular, comfortable, and clean. All the living areas were very nice. The views were extraordinary. The beach lounge chairs are not included; you have to pay extra. This contradicts what the Wikipedia website said about them being included. I didn't particularly like the hotel restaurant, but everything else was spectacular."

"Beach view was great. The pool was being renovated but the bathroom had a lingering sewer smell i guess because it’s by the bay. Elevators were slow."

"There was literally a puddle in the carpet in hallway outside our room, making the hallway smell even with a big dehumidifier in the hallway. It was present the two days of our stay and while we complained and were told we’d get some points added to our account, the front desk staff on two different days said they had no idea - so housekeeping, the person who put the dehumidifier out, the first front desk person never communicated it…? "

"Room was clean, but absolutely no view. Looked over a ballroom roof. For $450/night, not worth it. Bath was miniscule. "

"My husband and I have been staying at this hotel for almost 20 years, every time we visit Tampa. This time was different and not in a good way. They started charging for parking! Ridiculous! We were approached by a Hilton sales person every time we even walked thru the lobby with them trying to sell us something which was off putting. We will not be staying here anymore. "
