"We had an excellent stay at the Esplanade hotel. It's perfect for a family stay and very near to Fistral beach. Claudia was especially welcoming and loved our little one.
The room was very big and the beds were comfy and clean. There were was a great selection of bathroom wash, soap, lotion for adults and also kids too which was a nice surprise.
Despite it saying there was no cot for the room when I booked, there was a cot and sheet in the room on arrival.
The only downsides in the room were...
"We absolutely loved our stay. Best location. The staff here are a real credit to the hotel. and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The lovely lady that checked us in. The kind gentleman that happily changed our room after a slight issue and the really friendly lady at breakfast the following day. Lovely clean pool area and the best Margaritas!! All this plus it being in the most beautiful part of Newquay it really was a special birthday treat. We often visit Cornwall as we used to live...
"The room was very small and the so called courtyard was very uninviting with no view except a building and spiral staircase and a constant industrial fan noise. The shower was ok but there was alot of hair in the waste area. Housekeeping needs to be better. The bed was comfortable . There was a damp smell at times and you could hear the room above. The swimming pool and steam room was nice. We also used the spa area which could do with a thougher clean as there was a grease ring mark around the...

"Generally the property was very nice.
The insruction for the front door after hours was a bit confusing.We got back to the hotel after hours and the fob did not work.
Had to bang on the front door to be let in.
It was only about 11.10 pm not that late."

Our room was spacious and very comfortable, as well as quiet. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of fresh fruit. Also loved the afternoon cake! Would certainly recommend."
