"Nancy and Scott were very very accommodating, especially as we fell foul of a Calmac glitch which resulted in our being hours behind schedule. We needed to resolve all sorts of things en route by email & text. It was such a relief to arrive to a lovely welcome after a hard day’s slog from the Outer Hebrides. The room was great, well equipped and very comfortable. The bed was so, so comfortable. Then breakfast was not only well presented but also delicious. This is one to return to - or not...

"What a fantastic place. Comfy bed, fantastic shower and a nice big tv. Plenty tea, coffee, biscs and bottles of water in the room. Added bonus, the breakfast room is set up with same level of refreshments, all day, much appreciated after a walk up from the town in the evening. It said in the write up with Expedia that only a continental breakfast is included, this is not the case, a cooked breakfast is also available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. "Room was quiet and comfortable. Easy access to the area. Food in restaurants was good. "

"Not our normal sort of place to stay but ideal for our circumstances. Lovely facilities and folk staying at the same time. Good self catering shared kitchen though only as we left did we tumble to the fact that Helen had provided some communal consumables in the kitchen - our loss."

"The house is huge and beautiful with every possible appliance! The farm animals are so friendly and weren’t fazed at all by my two dogs. Anthony was a wonderful host also. There was an issue with the water but Anthony kept us going with bottled supplies and it wasn’t an issue at all. Each of the bedrooms has its own beautiful bathroom and the balconies are lovely, especially when the peacock comes up to say hi! I would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! "

"Drove for 7 hours and there was no answer at the door. The phone number provided is no longer live and no answers via emails. Spent hours driving around looking for alternative accommodation. Tried again later in the day. Still no answer. Stranded in the middle of nowhere! AWFUL!!! Tears!!! Managed to get into a caravan site 14 miles from where we needed to be. No supplies but coped. Home now! Still nothing from this property. Presume it is no longer active. Impossible to contact Hotels.com. "

"Very well located and with own parking. Service falls a little short when compared to other guest houses around Scotland. Rooms were good but not amazing. Good breakfast. A bit overpriced"
