"Central yet car friendly, short walk to V&A and Discovery, numerous places to eat nearby (including an in-house option). Pool and sauna very clean; much appreciated after a day walking around St Andrew's. Staff efficient and welcoming. No internal noise although Tay Bridge traffic somewhat audible with window open. "Staff of hotel and restaurant are exceptionally helpful and pleasant, as well as flexible. The location is also really perfect, with short walks to the river in one direction and all the pubs and restaurants you need in the other. Rooms are very comfortable. The only downside is that one pub under the hotel had loud live music on Saturday night that was very audible in my room. It was a nice selection and if I hadn't needed to be up very early the next morning, I might have gone to the pub...

"Just one night, room was clean and large,bed ok. breakfast was good but overpriced a wee bit .only serve till 9.30, 10 at weekend. Lovely Ukraine lady at the desk, waiters were good too."

"I have stayed at Westlands several times and always had a comfortable break. The rooms are well maintained and are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff are all friendly and clearly well trained. Breakfast is very busy as it seems guests from the neighbouring hotel join those at Westlands. While the food is plentiful, the dining experience could be improved as tables are tightly packed together and this leaves little space for the multiple visitors to the buffet that guests tend to...

"Arrived at hotel early evening. Had problems from beginning i.e. trying to log in to pay for parking, enquiries re breakfast. Staff do not know anything about parking, restaurant and leisure facilities as they are all owned separately. Have stayed here often over previous years but sadly it has gone downhill. However, the room was clean, bed and bedding was very comfortable and bathroom/shower came with soap and toiletry sachets. We didn't get breakfast as it didn't look worth paying £14. ...

"This hotel is in a spectacular setting, and the grounds are extensive, as befits a grand building from the 19th century. Inside the decor is in keeping with the overall look and feel of the building, and it's easy to imagine the guests dressed up for meals and other activities. A few things to note - those needing handicap access or an easier means for porting their luggage in or out, have no accommodation at the front door, but rather have to find the (somewhat) hidden notice off to one side...

"This was a beautiful, cosy place to stay. Staff were super friendly and the lobby, guest areas and pub and restaurant were beautiful and welcoming. I would definitely stay again!"
