"The Malmaison is in an old prison, close to the train station and close to areas of interest in Oxford. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Our room was comfortable, but the lack of a refrigerator was disappointing. (The staff was happy to deliver a bucket of ice upon request.) We enjoyed breakfast at their restaurant. There were also excellent lunch and dinner options within an easy walk. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others."

"We loved the location - mega convenient for seeing everything in Oxford city centre, and so many brilliant food options. We started off on the top floor, but on a hot day in May it reached 25.5C and didn't cool back down which made it really hard to sleep. The 24/7 concierge service is great though, and moved us to the ground floor the next day which suited us much better. "The privilege twin room I booked was excellent in terms of amenities (ironing board and iron, kettle and tea stuff, fridge (complimentary water and Pepsis), Nespresso machine and capsules, bathrobes and slippers, and decor. The only critical comment I would say is that the room was very warm at night and the fridge was placed inside a cupboard and not ventilated so it was also overheated and contributed to the temperature in the room. I’m sure this can be easily remedied. Overall a great stay...

"Beautiful spot which we enjoyed exploring. Hotel was lovely- we had a ground floor riverside room which we were so pleased with- however the corridoor absolutley stank- it smelt like vomit! Coppa club resturant was in a lovely location. We booked dinner out in the terrace and was sat on a table behind the service area. The area we booked to enjoy the amazing view was obstructed by the messy service area which was a bit disappointing"

"Nothing was too much trouble. We were staying as a family 16 of us for our mothers funeral and they were kind and welcoming . Breakfast was great - fabulous to have a gluten free section all of its own. Fridge in room was a great feature. Pity it did not contain fresh milk for tea and coffee. Better for the environment than the little plastic containers - which you need two of for each cup of tea/coffee. The restaurant Food was good - although a little over priced. "
