"Positives first, we had a family wedding near by and were allowed to check into the room at1pm instead of 4.30pm which was greatly appreciated. There is ample free on site parking and the building from the outside looks very nice.However the property is very dated and in desperate need of renovation."

"The hotel is in a good location in nice surroundings, although the road noise was significant overnight. The hotel in general is tired and the room had a musty mould smell which was overpowering. No one on reception so call a number to get the code to enter, then another code to get the key for your room. Breakfast was packed up and left outside the room door in the morning, but was sufficient and suited me as had to be away early. Would have appreciated better coffee. "

"Warm welcome in pub, and clear directions and info about lodges. Spotlessly clean, everything that should be there was. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. "

"I was traveling with my very senior parents and staff offered to relocate them to a ground floor room as I'd not thought to request it. Dining doesn't have a ton of options but what you get is exquisite and the service is friendly and attentive."

"This was my second time to Penrhos and this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite places to stay. The level of finish in the accommodation is exceptional and the attention to detail such as board games, items in the kitchen and basic supplies such as milk and butter are lovely touches. There is loads of space in Lodge 7 and it is my favourite lodge out of the 2 I’ve stayed in so far. Friday night we went for a meal in the cattle shed. I had my 2 nephews in tow (7 & 9) which were greeted...

"Ray was wonderful and so attentive. The breakfast was delicious. When our train was very late, Ray came and picked us up. I can't say enough about how much we appreciated how much attention they put into giving us the best possible stay. The Mount has the added benefit of being close to town."
