"I arrived at the Chantry Hotel just after midday. The proprietor was happy for me to check-in straight away. He was also happy for me to leave my car there for a couple of hours after I’d checked out the following morning. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was first class. My room was on the second floor - the second set of stairs was a little narrow but fortunately I didn’t have much luggage for my overnight stay so it wasn’t a problem for me. I would definitely stay...

"Have stayed before so knew what to expect. The owners are very easy to get on with plus very polite and friendly. Best part of the stay is the English breakfast which is superb all of the trimmings. The breakfast is worth 5 stars alone."

The hotel itself was incredible wherever you went, with fantastically friendly and attentive staff everywhere you looked! "We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. "
