"Staff very welcoming and informative. Helped with my VIP Expedia extra benefit drink, which was lovely and unexpected.
Interior of the hotel is a beautiful thing to see. The rooms were clean, spacious and the biscuit selections in the rooms were on point. Parking was free and electric charging points were also free. Very happy to recommend and stay again if I’m in the area"
"Room was clean and comfortable but starting to show signs of needing attention (worn through couch covers, split pillow case) the TV didnt want to turn on and there has been a downgrade in the bathroom amenities from the baylis & harding i loved. Parking was plentiful"
"Enjoyed the inexpensive rate and proximity to bus! Cleanliness wasn’t the best in the room, but for the rate can’t complain. There were a few pieces of hair on my bed sheets which didn’t leave the best impression, but moved on. Shared bathroom was fine and always empty which was nice!
Walls are quite thin so I could hear the guy next to me snoring. And some people were quite ignorant and loud at night, but not the hostels fault! Overall decent stay for a budget trip!"
"We had a really relaxing stay here we stayed in the area called the cottage it was a very old building it didn’t look so great outside but had a surprisingly cosy interior we booked the twin bed room we are not used to small beds so it was a bit difficult to sleep but I watched the last kingdom with subtitles and eventually drifted off a twin room was all they had left on a bank holiday weekend the hotel had a lovely spa it really made the stay special, we also went to the Fat abbot restaurant...
"The property is very tired and is in desperate need of modernisation. The hand basin unit was stained, the toilet pan was stained (not pleasant at all).
I was left pretty disappointed
This is supposed to be the premier hotel in Bawtry. I wont stay here again"
"Charming National Trust Queen Anne House now hotel. Excellent service, good food and magnificent garden. Rooms pretty decent and deserving of 4 stars. Very pleasant two day stay."
"This is the most wonderful place to stay. It is on a working farm but very close to York. Catherine was the most amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order and couldn’t be faulted. Her recommendation for food was spot on and any questions were answered. My husband and I can’t wait to return in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone considering staying here"
"From start to finish it was a delightful stay, it had a lot of charm and we loved the chickens and goats the breakfast was great with all that you needed and more, the host was lovely and we enjoyed our stay, l will recommend this place to everyone at your club and we will return in the future.
Thanks Nigel & Kim"
"The property was full of unpleasant damp smells and it was very uncomfortable to sleep in at night, location was ok but not to stay in again 😞 so I would've asked for a refund but I'll put it down to experience.. but thank you for letting us stay.. "
