"Really friendly and helpful staff The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the border with Gibraltar so very handy. The breakfast was enormous and kept me going. The room was spotless and had a beautiful view over the rock. Pool was still cloed as it wasn't quite yet in season so can't comment on that. Overall i'd definitely recommend. "

"In terms of convenience of proximity to bus stationa and port, this cant be beat. If you are driving, please note parking is not free (10 to 12 euros a night), and it is tricky to find the parking entrance when driving (so ask for specific directions before arrival). The rooms are nice, they even have affordable room options for families. The beds, pillows and bedding are very comfortable, there is even a small refrigerator/cooler to keep drinks or milk cold. "Whilst we had a very nice holiday here we were disappointed to find that there was no communal bar/lounge area nor a permanently established indoor restaurant (the indoor part was the breakfast room; the dining restaurant was entirely outdoor either in gardens or by the pool with no option to dine inside). On the one cool and cloudy day - too chilly to be outside - there was nowhere warm and communal to lounge around or get drinks. You had to be either outside by the pool or in your room. ...

"I fully understand that the star ratings are very contradictory. Please let me explain: I've stayed in this hotel approx 15 times and everything is great. However, there was a crucial, huge problem this time which made staying there very unpleasant. I am independently taking this matter up with Expedia as I repeatedly tried to get some advice and support, but got nowhere so I shouldn't comment on this here. My first 2 nights were as always - great. Lovely facities, very clean, great staff, nice...
