"We stayed for week in a Garden Room during a visit to Cornwall with my wife during a heat-wave. The room was large and airy with two bathrooms. The staff had put a large fan in the room and it was running when we went in and it kept the room at a comfortable temperature during the stay. We had breakfast every morning included. The service was quick and efficient with helpful, friendly and polite staff, the food and choice were excellent. There was plenty of parking at the hotel and the bar...

"There are two Plume of Feathers in Cornwall. If you search for the one in Portscatho on Google this one is likely to show up and I made the mistake in booking it. When I contacted them once I had realised my error they said it was not up to them to refund but Expedia - who I contacted. They were helpful and sympathetic - but they said it was actually at the discretion of the host who they contacted on my behalf but they declined my request. I again contacted the PoF to ask them to reconsider...

"Last minute booking due to cancellation of flight from cornwall, the room was clean and the amenities were fine. Welcome tray a nice touch, bathroom fine, but not suitable for someone with a disability due to no overhead bath shower."

"We loved The Nici hotel i Newquay! The staf was amazing, clean and nice room, and the location was perfect. The hotel had only been open for a month when er were there, so the pool was not ready yet. But we got a free massage and the kids could have a free surfinglesson if they had wanted to. It is close to everything in town, so we walked everywhere. We really liked this hotell, and would stay there again if we're coming back to Newquay!"

"We are a family of 4 (kids 8 and 11) staying in a room set up as a family room - double bed and the kids sharing a sofa bed. The room was snug but really good. "The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Restaurant food is very good. Many choices for breakfast. Great amenities with an onsite swimming pool, great for families and only a short walk to fabulous beach. Would definitely recommend St Moritz Hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Cornwall."

Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2.
