"We had an excellent stay at the Esplanade hotel. It's perfect for a family stay and very near to Fistral beach. Claudia was especially welcoming and loved our little one.
The room was very big and the beds were comfy and clean. There were was a great selection of bathroom wash, soap, lotion for adults and also kids too which was a nice surprise.
Despite it saying there was no cot for the room when I booked, there was a cot and sheet in the room on arrival.
The only downsides in the room were...
"The room was excellent the bathroom a little tired with no separate shower. There was no hot water on one of the mornings.
The view from the room/balcony was stunning.
The continental breakfast was good although there were no warm croissants. The cooked breakfasts were not very freshly cooked, especially the scrambled eggs and bacon. The Bay Bar staff were very pleasant and the food excellent.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it and would stay there again."
"Really lovely stay and a great surprise. The room was much bigger than we expected and we were really pleased to find that the kids effectively had their own little room within our room, with really good-sized bunk beds. It made such a difference travelling as a family and everyone had plenty of space.
The staff were absolutely outstanding, genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful, and really added to our stay.
The room was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was excellent and,...
"This is a great place to stay, look for deals, prices vary depending on weather you want to have Bar food or go full fine dining, Bar option is a good way to start. Self guided option is much more cost effective than a tour guide.
The staff are very friendly and helpful 🙂"
"We had a lovely stay at Carlyon Bay Hotel near Charlestown. The hotel is very nice inside, clean and well presented.
The staff were really helpful, friendly and polite throughout our stay, always happy to help and make sure everything was just right."
"Great location with breaking waves on view from the bedroom window, comfortable room and super food. Fantastic walks in all directions, and very close to Tintagel and Port Isaac attractions. Staff nice and very efficient. Lovely atmosphere in bar."
"We had stayed here before and the second time did not disappoint.
Lovely, helpful and cheery staff made us feel welcome.
We will definitely return in the future."
"Beautiful hotel and clean and well maintained , staff are helpful and friendly.
Room was comfortable and nice seaport view.
Great food at its restaurant! Breakfast was amazing!
I would love to come back and highly recommend this place."
"Fab hotel - incredible location - superb food - very friendly and helpful staff
As a person needing accessible help the gravel is quite difficult to negotiate using crutches
I would have preferred to have had a mini fridge and safe in the room
These are incredibly minor issues
The £5 voucher is a good idea but has flaws in so far as there is no option to have fresh toilet rolls, coffee etc without having to disturb Dee on the welcome desk - who is amazing by the way
Thank you for a...
"Parking was convenient as it’s the main parking lot for access to Tintagel Castle. The pub is large and quite busy/noisy but the food a good pub food. The room was well appointed. Unfortunately, the shower was not that clean as there was a good amount of black mold around the base and in the sliding door track. Also, the shower didn’t drain properly and we had to be very careful with the water to prevent a potential overflow. When I mentioned this to staff in the evening, they indicated that...
