"Rooms are very nice and the view of the Arenal Volcano from all of the rooms is amazing on clear days. The included breakfast is very good with a great variety of foods including local specialities like gallo pinto, chicharron with salsa verde, fresh fruits, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and lots of other hot items. The staff are all very nice and make the effort to remember you and your name throughout your stay. The hot springs facilities are amazing to relax in after a day of exploring...
"Just a glorious place. Plus, if your place is up the hill from reception, you will get your exercise in the morning walking up and down the hill! The breakfast was fantastic with home baked breads and cakes, pastries (yes, they even had chocolate cake one day and an orange cake another day)! Plus, they have an omelet station. We ate dinner there one night and it was quite good. The warm pool is lovely. It's sort of like one of the natural hot springs in the area although maybe easier to...
"La vista es espectacular y la habitación, sin duda, de las mejores. Lamentablemente, el servicio al cliente no estuvo al nivel esperado, particularmente durante la cena, donde la atención fue francamente muy deficiente y afectó de forma importante nuestra experiencia. Angie, por su parte, fue excepcional con los detalles extras solicitados para decoración y destacó positivamente por su atención y disposición."
"We had such a wonderful 5 night stay as a family of 4 at El Silencio de Campo. It was nice that every room was its own villa. The property is lovely and nicely sized but not so large that it was overwhelming. My kids milked a cow at their farm and enjoying seeing all the animals (horses, mini horses, chickens and other fowl, cows, and a pig). The hot springs were nice - it’s not a huge complex of hot springs like the nearby big resorts but I found it to be sufficient for us. The restaurant was...
"Me gustò la ubicaciòn, el acceso a los termales (piscinas) cerca de la habitaciòn. Deben acondicionar los baños, en especial el calentador de ducha, dificil para bañarse. No tener perros en el area donde se come."
"Probably the best vacation we have ever had largely because of this location, quality of the room, and the exceptional service. Restaurant was amazing."
"Really loved this property. You can't get any better views of the volcano! It was quiet, clean, peaceful and modern. Our host, Santiago, was awesome. Very friendly, accommodating and easy to get in touch with.
The only thing I would critique is the stocking of the kitchen. For the price, I would've expected better utensils and kitchen gadgets. For example, there wasn't a good, sharp knife we could use to chop things, nor was there a decent spatula. It was a bunch of mismatched stuff. I think...
"This hotwl was an amazing place to stay! Daniel was an incredible host and took us on tours in their own brand-new private bus at a great rate, which made everything so easy. He even drove us back to San Jose and had a baby seat for our little one!
The food was excellent, the rooms were much bigger than we expected, and the location was perfect. The highlight was the stunning view of the volcano—you can see it so clearly from the beautiful pool (when it is not cloudy), it's like it's right in...
