"We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located between the Li river and the Sickle Bay. To the west, the pier is only a mile away, and the motor raft is easy to book to enjoy the magnificent waves rock scenery. To the east, the Sickle Bay, a world natural heritage site, is great for hiking to have the breathtaking overlooking on top. The hotel has the scenery nicely blended in. "Moon Villa provided quite possibly the best customer service that I've ever had from a hotel in recent memory! They catered to our every need and offered excellent care from before arrival through departure. The resort is perfectly situated in the scenic part of Yangshou and just a few km from downtown (which is easily accessible by bike or free shuttle van. The rooms are new, modern, comfortable, and spacious. We are excited to go back Moon Villa and can't recommend it enough!"

"The Expedia description says “breakfast served for surcharge”, but I was told at the front desk that they don’t serve breakfast. There are many restaurants around but no bakeries or supermarkets that sell real groceries for picnics. I had to eat at Chinese restaurants x2 a day, and munched energy bars I had with me because going to a Chinese restaurant x3 a day was too much for me. The room desperately needed renovation: wall and furniture painting peeling off; plastic furniture lining crumbling...

"Th owner and the staff are the best!!! Really attentive and looking into ensuring every guest has the best time possible. All of them nice and caring. The owner goes beyond in making sure gusta are having a nice time, even sharing part of her culture etc. rooms are great and dinner was excellent. Location wise is a beautiful spot, but bear in mind this is 30 to 40 mins away from Yangshuo near Xingping ancient town. Great for hiking and an exploring the nature surrounding the hotel. Hotel staff was very helpful in helping us organise that. All in all a great experience !!!"
