"It’s an average hotel that does the job. Having to request and wait for an iron and ironing board doesn’t feel very “4 star”. Decent location for what I needed though and usually a decent rate compared with some other hotels in Reading city centre."

"Great location!"

"Overall the place was well presented and very clean. I’d had a very long day travelling and didn’t arrive until after 9pm. There was a disco happening on arrival and it was extremely noisy - which was no problem. However, I had been placed on the first floor. I could hear the disco from downstairs and really struggled to switch off from being able to hear this noise. In hindsight I should have asked to move to a higher floor but due to being tired I just grumbled in my room instead. I think...

"Unfortunately, although we somewhat enjoyed the hotel and the spa was excellent, we will not return. The mattresses were so uncomfortable that we repeatedly struck the base beneath them; the surface was remarkably soft, and we felt every spring. After requesting a different room for better bedding, we were informed that all mattresses share this design. Additionally, the restaurant could improve significantly, and we did not consider the breakfast worth the price."

"Room clean with comfortable bed and nice bedding. Lovely waiter in the restaurant from South Africa. Breakfast nice with order service for poached/fried eggs. Plenty choice at bar."

"Very good"

"Lovely comfortable room. Excellent shower. Excellent breakfast. I didn’t have time to enjoy the bar or drawing room but it looked lovely. It’s really well located in the centre of town - and Farnham is a lovely town to visit."

"Friendly and helpful staff Lovely venue and excellent spa and pool facilities"

"Very dated and over priced."

"This hotel looks great on the website but does not live up to expectations. It is extremely tired and dirty. My room was disappointing - dirty carpet, hair balls on the floor, mud and detritus and even nail clippings from a previous guest. It clearly had not been properly cleaned. The Roman blind was broken and held up by safety pins. The carpets were threadbare in places and in the morning I discovered carpet moths crawling under the desk. Dirty marks on the wall by the bed and the wardrobe was...

"I stayed in the annex building above the gym while working nearby. The receptionist was very friendly and talkative and rhe room only a short walk from the main hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, with nice views over the woodland. The bathroom skylights were a nice touch, especially with the heavy rain. Breakfast was rather nice, with a good selection of buffet style food of a good quality."

"Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights for my daughters wedding. Stayed in a suite , which was lovely and big. The staff were very friendly and helpful always. The food in the stables was lovely and the wedding food in the barn was delicious. Everyone loved their rooms and all the food too and the wedding was a huge success thanks to everyone who helped organise the Special day."

"Property was ok. Staff was great."

"Bit confusing the layout but nice clean hotel and food good"
