"The receptionist was so helpful and kind to respond to my query about the hairdryer and came promptly to my room to help me find it and was very gracious when I realised it had been there the whole time in a black bag on the hanger and I totally missed that! The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had the best shower. The breakfast was great with a wide selection of food and hot drinks. "The rooms are varied. The dog friendly rooms are not great, but at least you can bring your dog. The suite we had (when we didn’t bring the dog) was characterful and a good size but the bathrooms need an update. I’m not sure if this is the case across the hotel. The lady in reception is lovely, but if she isn’t there it can be hard to get help to check in. A lot of the staff are pretty grumpy and not very helpful. "

"General maintenance issues as it’s an old hotel, but decorated modern. Good location and friendly staff. Food was good but expensive. Room was a good size, bed comfortable and nice and warm. Better tea and coffee facilities would be nice and better quality loo roll 🙂"

"There was no hot water. When I confronted the front desk, they knew the set of suits were like that and that I should ring to ask them to turn a hot tap on downstairs to get the water to flow. This is unnacceptable for the price if the room. "
