"Simplemente espectacular . Un hotel hermoso muy cerca del cráter (15 minutos al main gate) el servicio y limpieza impecables . 100% recomendable si entra dentro de tu presupuesto"
"Poor entrance road, without signs, but the place was beautifully constructed with old huge wooden beams in the dining area, good food, beautiful grounds, nice pool and helpful friendly staff"
"We arrived at the lodge’s main entrance road sign about 6pm, myself and two young daughters after a full day of driving, tired and hungry. The main entrance road was blocked by trees branches clearly arranged in a line across the road. No written sign to redirect traffic or explain. We drove on to see if there was another entrance, there was none. we drove back to the main entrance I got out of the car removed the branches and drove up to the lodge to find the road had been washed away a short...
"The most peaceful and beautiful place ever with great views. I was also very impressed with the staff, they were super kind and helpful all the time. Highly recommended if you're looking for an amazing, peaceful and beautiful stay!"

You need an escort to the dining tent after dark (easily arranged by telephone). I had a buffalo outside my tent one night. I never felt unsafe though.
I would strongly recommend to...

The car had no brake or transmission fluids and an corroded alternator wire - Eli stayed at the mechanic while we got some food next door
The mechanics...

In the opposite direction are the Taragine and Lake Manyara National Parks, both about 1.00-1.25 hours’ drive away. Situated in well-maintained and secure grounds, the individual rooms/lodges are generally of a high standard and quiet. Staff were exceptionally attentive. Food was buffet style - ok but no more than average. Live entertainment (local dancers &...
