"Room clean with comfortable bed and nice bedding. Lovely waiter in the restaurant from South Africa. Breakfast nice with order service for poached/fried eggs. Plenty choice at bar."
"The location of this hotel was great and I used this as an overnight location when travelling different places throughout England. The hotel on first impression of staff and lobby were great. Then get to the room and kind of dropped. The record and facilities were dated and there were holes in the carpet, digs in the furniture, paint marks on the wall. There were some cleanliness issues in terms of hairs on pillow which I removed from the bed. The mattress was extremely hard and wasn’t a great...
"We used the hotel for a one night stay plus breakfast and a meet point for a coffee with family before our journey home up north. Hotel was beautifully presented, easy to find and clean. As with most hotels that are not new, there were small picky bits around the hotel that a good housekeeper would pick up on… light bulbs out, chip on ceramic bath tub, one bath towel in double occupancy, light discoloured curtains. However, a pleasant stay, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent,...
"Stayed here many times visiting family, lovely place all round - staff, food, drinks, rooms, seating area - all great, look forward to our next trip 👍"
"The stay was OK for the money paid for, however all that I am going to mention costs $0 (or almost) to the property and can make a great location in the middle of the Costwolds a great place to stay.
Check in was slow for a pre-paid room. Almost no welcome package with sightseeing, we had to ask, only to get a piece of paper with names of towns. Printing a chat GPT guide costs $0 which we got at all of the other hotels we visited.
They told us the restaurant / bar closes at 10pm so we came...
"Lovely old coaching inn and nice rooms too. It was lovely sat out in the forecourt having a drink undercover.
My evening meal in pub was very nice , bit expensive and limited menu but tasted great.
Breakfast was lovely and the Manager who was very friendly and I believe from Australia -and her assistant -were very helpful even allowing me to have it early as I had a show to get too. This was above and beyond and means I will definitely come back, Thank you"
"Probably one of the worst 3 star hotel bedrooms (room 12) we have ever stayed in. The bathroom was terrible, ceiling paint was peeling off, shower seal was broken causing the floor to flood, toilet roll holder was hanging off, soap dispenser was broken, door handle did not work and signs of damp or roof leak staining on the ceiling.
The bedroom was no better, window was rotten and could not be opened. Paint peeling off the window and radiator, black mould on the window catch, provided fan was...
"The hotel was great and had a relaxing atmosphere. Good food and the staff were helpful and friendly. The spa was nice but in the smaller side so I would try and go during quieter periods. The room was a good size and very clean. At breakfast there was a good amount to choose from if you don’t have any specific dietary requirements."
