"The room was clean, and housekeeping came by every day to clean and replace the towels. For the first two mornings, there was no hot water early in the morning. After I reported it, they sent a housekeeping staff member to verify the issue before alerting maintenance. By the following morning, it had been fixed, and I finally got to enjoy a blissfully hot shower. "We stayed in the Mercury room. The room was fine. The windows are coloured glass with no window coverings so it gets bright when the sun comes up. The walls are thin so you can hear outside noise but it’s not loud. Good air conditioning, fan and there was a mosquito net. There is a sort of mothball smell but that’s likely from bug spray. Staff were nice and courteous. The breakfast was decent and there was a nice view of the Old Fort. The hotel is located in a main tourist shopping area."

"The location is wonderful- among the labyrinth of Stone Town. The breakfast is an interesting spread of offerings and offerings of cooked foods. Our room was near the top of the lovely narrow stairs adjacent to the coffee, tea, and water station. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. "Delightful boutique hotel on a nice and quiet beach. So nice to see the sunrise in the morning and the fishermen setting out to get their daily catch. The staff is friendly and service-minded often working quietly in the background to make sure you’re taken care of. The food was surprisingly good. The rooms are beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the view from the balcony. The only downside was that the beds were a bit on the hard side - and very squeaky :)"

When we weren't sure what we should do, their recommendations were fantastic. The pool service was good the cocktail menu was wonderful. Our first day at the resort, we had massages done by the pool. Overall, everything was a great experience."
