"Large older hotel, built in 1862 but renovated. Quiet. Situated in an historic park. Many bus tours stay here. Rooms are clean, fairly large and adequately equipped. Bed needs to be upgraded, mattress is hard and uncomfortable. Shower is in the bathtub, you need to step over the bathtub to access. Limited views from rooms. Convenient city bus stop not far from the main gate to access downtown and Ortigia. Free parking for those with rental cars. Breakfast is okay, typical large group...

"This was a unique property out in the country, as part of a thoroughbred horse racing track. You could watch racing from your room. The property was clean but is generally getting tired and needs refreshing. The lobby area is noisy and that cascades down the halls and to the rooms. The pool areas are nice and well kept. The breakfast was wanting, with most items running out."

"Room was okay, more like a well used holiday inn in the middle of nowhere. All amenities were closed. Pool was pretty gross. We booked a junior suite, and they gave us a standard room. We had to go back and say you gave us the wrong room. Then they said they over booked sorry. They gave us dinner one night but still pretty bad. Don't stay here if you want anything more than just an average bed."
"Mainly a resort for Italians. Many staff don’t speak English so you’ll need to bear that in mind. Tired resort ready for a refresh, feeling a bit shabby. The all-inclusive drinks were very short- normal amounts of cheap alcohol in a small plastic cup with little room for ice or soft drink part- strong but not pleasant. Pizza restaurant on site was off the scale terrible: mixed fried starter was going back mainly uneaten from every table - it was straight from freezer bag to deep fat fryer junk....
"This is a lovely hotel in the countryside about 15 minutes outside of Noto. The grounds and property were very nice. The only problem was the internet connectivity which was poor. The initial person we spoke to said he would look in to it and then said it was fixed. It wasn't until we checked out that another person at the desk said that it was do to the contract they have with the provider- star link, and the fact they are in the country side and maybe the rain. "What an oasis to retreat to for a few nights during our 10 day Sicily road trip. Breakfast was excellent, the rooms and property were impeccably clean and inviting. Highly recommend."
