"The carpark was very busy over the weekend and, after a long day out, we were forced to park as far away from the hotel as was possible. Weddings and the attraction of the spa probably accounted for this. The food was more than average except for the breakfast which was excellent. The staff, to my knowledge without exception, were very welcoming and noticeably hard working. The room was slightly more spacious than average with spotless facilities and a comfy bed (single). So, for the most part...
"Waited 2 hours after check-in to get my room. Room was very poor and not worth the money. Pokey little single with no outlook, basic amenities, tiny TV that didn't work. Breakfast team were very pleasant but food was cold. Outdated business resting on its laurels and not reinvesting for the benefit of guests. I should' really have complained and asked for discount but was with a group and didn't want to create any unpleasantness."
"Have to say the staff were good and very helpful and I have no problem with anyone working at the hotel. The atmosphere within the bar area was quite poor and the tv remote was broken so couldn’t watch sports.
The main issue I had with the hotel was the music piped in through the obviously knackered speakers which as so distorted it was painful to listen too. We actually had to ask the breakfast staff to turn it down and they agreed it was terrible. Until this is resolved I can’t see myself...
"This is the coziest place in Wales. The room is bright and comfortable. The staff, especially Melody at the front desk are very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. I liked it so much I extended my stay. It’s very convenient to town and world heritage sites."
"The room was big with a well stocked tea tray. It was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with a buffet style hot selection at the weekend and made to order hot choices weekday. The staff were welcoming and friendly."
"Property and car park was very easy to find, had plenty of instructions on how to get to the property and gain entry well in advance
Hotel itself is small and cosy room was well maintained and very clean, bed and bedding was clean and comfy and bathroom was well stocked
We had a lovely stay here."
"Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last."
"I had a great five-night stay in Oswestry. The house was equipped with everything I needed, from cooking meals to relaxing and enjoying a comfortable stay.
As this was a last-minute booking, Liz was incredibly quick to respond to my emails and made everything very easy.
It’s a lovely, safe area, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."
