"I stayed with my mother and sister. We unanimously voted that our stay was wonderful. The service really set the tone to begin our stay. She greeted me with a smile and walked me over to the apartment. She explained everything. We were even offered dinner eventhough dinner service had finished - we checked in very late. They even kept the kitchen open longer for my mother who couldn't make it in time. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, easy to move around and not to forget...

"Can’t fault any part of our stay, the house was perfect 5 adults and one three year old. Lots of space, down stairs bedroom with ensuite was perfect for great grandparents. Outside area was nice in the morning to sit with a coffee, lots of green space for little one to run and explore. Kitchen had everything and a lovely welcome gift. "We were attracted to Ardwyn House after reading the positive reviews. We loved our stay and you wont be dissapointed if you stay, we highly recommend it. Some plus points... clean, fantastic breakfast options, afternoon tea/coffee and delicious cake, brilliant shower, duvet and pillows as comfy as home (I bring a pillow in the car and never used it.) We stayed to drive Elan Valley and it was just the perfect drive away. The town is walkable for food and shop, the train station is also just down...

"What a gem of a place. Beautiful please in a stunning setting. Nothing was too much for the staff here who were always so pleasant and lovely. Food was delicious and the dog loved it. A must place to visit and a must place to stay. "

"Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby...

"Accommodation is in well furnished self catering or modern rooms. This is not a hotel. Access and parking is convoluted and is not ideal for those with mobility problems. Rooms are accessed via a staircase. Room to room noise is evident and Saturday night is lively across the road until midnight. Breakfast is served at the 1176 restaurant and is very good with friendly staff and good locally sourced ingredients. There is nearby street parking for blue badge holders but would not recommend...

"Lovely weekend at the Bear Inn.. quick check in, room was quirky, but very clean, linen and towels good quality. All staff very helpful and friendly. We are not vegetarians, however we ate at the Bear both evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food. Woul definitely recommend a visit. "
