"Stayed here for 2 nights on the hottest weekend of the year in room 320. Air conditioning wasn't working we were sweltering in the small room with twin beds that were of differing heights. I spoke to reception about the air con and how hot it was in the room, they gave us desktop fans and told us there wasn't really anything else they could do as there were quite a few rooms with the same issue!! "The room had everything you need but wasn’t clean and they don’t clean during your stay either. You can get new towels from reception, but no one is coming to get your previous wet/used ones. Reception desk is impressive and the 2 girls were smiley and attentive. Bathroom was ok but looking very tired. Shower was good and powerful. Parking is easy and the golf course looks good. For the price it wasn’t great value. We might stay again if we can’t find anything better, for the next Goodwood...

"The hotel is set in a lovely location and the main building is full of character. The bar area is a little small and getting served can take a while. Whilst the staff were very friendly and helpful, they seemed to be under a lot of pressure and not very well organised. The food was excellent but again the time it took was quite long in some cases. "Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn’t use the spa due to only staying one night and the extra charge as booked through Expedia but if book direct, it’s included. "The attic rooms, which are expensive, are not fit for purpose in hot weather. No air-con, of course, but you can barely open the windows. The sun blasts on to the roof just above and creates an oven! The provided fan was little help. Very bad night's sleep. The unhelpful receptionist told me that the hot room was due to the heat. I asked if we could swap rooms, but he said the hotel was fully booked, despite a portable sign outside saying 'Rooms available tonight'. Breakfast was very poor....
