"Couple of gripes first. Why no plug sockets near the mirror? Two plug sockets were situated behind the big mirror which was nigh on impossible to get to. Had to lift the big mirror out of the way to get to it to plug my appliance. Also at £134 for a night - why only Nescafé sachets for coffee. Basic! Asked staff if they had any coffee bags - no. Was advised that Sainsbury’s was only round the corner if I needed to buy any. Room was ok, small double, bed was very comfy. Bit noisy as the bed was...

"Room was huge but a bit dark. Bathroom a little dated - shower didn't maintain a constant temperature and was a bit weak. Absolutely spotless. Had to hunt for a hair towel and tea and coffee facilities. No iron - but there was an ironing board. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great porridge and selection at breakfast. Great location near to town centre with reasonable and safe parking."

"Great location for walking to the city centre and First Direct Arena. We managed to park in one of the 6 car spaces adjacent to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room was as expected from seeing the photos online meaning we were very pleased with them both. The hotel bar was a lovely, quiet and well stocked for a night cap. We didn’t eat there as there were plenty of places to choose from within a very short walk. "
